Ballyconnell Credit Union Limited was established in 1986 and has grown steadily to become a leading provider of financial services within the community.
Services available to our Members include Current Accounts and Debit Cards, online banking, loans, standing orders and direct debits and foreign exchange.
The Board of Directors of Ballyconnell Credit Union is committed to improving and enhancing the services provided to our Members. Our purpose-built office in Ballyconnell offers extensive parking facilities and is open six days a week. Our Swanlinbar office is open every Friday where Members may also wish to transact their business.
Our History
1986
Credit Union founded first temporary office in Main Street, Ballyconnell
1987
Purchased first office in Main Street, Ballyconnell
1988
First Member of Staff employed
1991
Move to newly built office in Church Street, Ballyconnell
1992
Assets exceed Ir Punt £1million & Accounts become computerised
1999
New office in Swanlinbar opened
2002
New site purchased & Euro changeover
2006
Move to new purpose-built office in Ballyconnell & Opening hours extended to 6 days weekly

The Board of Directors has responsibility for the general control, direction and management of the affairs, funds and records of Ballyconnell Credit Union.
