1st Distribution of Our Community Fund Summary

18 February 2025

1st Distribution of Our Community Fund Summary

Ballyconnell Credit Union is delighted to announce the successful first distribution of it's Community Fund

This initiative was established to provide support to not-for-profit groups and organisations that enrich our community through their dedication and hard work. In this first round of our Community Fund, we initially expected to distribute €20,000 amongst successful applicants but after hearing from such a number of deserving applicants, a total of €29,083 has been distributed among 29 local groups and organisations. Although not life changing, each group has received funding that will allow them to take another step towards improving the well-being of the people in our community, fostering growth, inclusion and positive change.

This Community Fund represents our commitment to giving back to the community that supports us. We believe in the power of collective effort and the importance of sustaining the groups that make Ballyconnell, and its surrounding areas, a thriving and connected place to live.

Below, you can view photos including the group name, their project & the funding they received. Projects of all descriptions are listed, with a variety of groups and organisations you may know well! We extend our heartfelt thank you, to all the organisations that applied for funding and congratulate this year's recipients.

**Our Community Fund will be returning in 2025! Keep an eye out on our website and social media channels for launch date & updates regarding our 2025 Community Fund!**
