The 2024 Credit Union Art Competition Launched At Ballyconnell Credit Union

Ballyconnell Credit Union are delighted to announce that entries are now open for the 2024 Credit Union Art Competition!

The theme for this years Credit Union Art Competition is "The Joys Of Life"

This years theme gives participants the opportunity to present their own interpretation of what joy they see in their world, be it outside their front door or community, and capture this on their artwork. Celebrating life's simple moments and treasured moments through the likes of beautiful sunsets, sharing laughter with friends, or spending time with loved ones, the theme encourages participants to highlight their precious memories.

There are two overall categories - General Category & Additional Needs Category - with the following age groups in each category - age limit applying as of December 31st, 2024.

• 7 years and under
• 8 - 10 years inclusive
• 11 -13 years inclusive
• 14 - 17 years inclusive
• 18 years and over (adults)

The competition invites participants to create artworks that depict the theme and explore through their own unique lens.

Year after year we are blown away by the amazing entries that come into us, and it really is wonderful to see the creative talent within the community. We cannot wait to see all the amazing entries and of course there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

All entries must be submitted in either A3 (420mm wide x 297mm high) or A2 (584mm wide x 420mm high) and landscape orientation (ONLY) Other sizes and portrait-oriented entries will be disqualified from adjudication.

Closing date for entries to be returned to Ballyconnell Credit Union or our Swanlinbar branch by 18th October 2024.

The winning entries from stage one are passed to Chapter for adjudication at a regional (secondary) stage before the winners only at this level are forwarded to the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) for final (national) judging.
