NEW FRAUD ALERT - Scam Callers

Members,

We are urging you all to please be extremely vigilant of an emerging fraud threat where criminals are phoning Credit Union members and verbally obtaining information about their debit cards, online banking and/or personal security information.

As a result of Credit Union members sharing this information, the criminals are then using it to set up Apple/Google pay, where they complete fraudulent transactions.

It is vitally important for you to know that Ballyconnell Credit Union or any other legitimate organisation will NEVER contact you asking for any sensitive information over the phone such as passcodes, login details, PIN's, one-time-passcodes, personal or financial information.
